Public Education Booking Request

SACE delivers age-appropriate sexual violence education for youth over the age of 12. We present to various youth audiences including students, leadership and community groups, and clubs.

*Please note, our Public Education sessions are offered at no fee, but when we travel outside of the City of Edmonton we require our mileage to be reimbursed. If your organization is out of town, we will contact you with a quote and an invoice for this fee.

The SACE Institutional Support team empowers institutions and other organizations to take action against sexual violence. We are able to offer consultation provisions on a range of topics to support organizations undertaking their own efforts to address sexual violence in our community.

Please note, that Institutional Support services are strongly tied to our Public Education program: without the educational foundation to inform why and how these policies and practices function and to support culture shift, we find that policies do not find their way into practice. Once we have received your support request, we will reach out to further explore your needs, including public education services.

A photo of participants in an online meeting is displayed out of focus on a laptop screen with a cup of tea in the foreground of the desk, while the words "We believe in creating a culture of consent" are shown on a dark background to the side

The WiseGuyz Program will have a blurb outlining services before this form is made public (send to Ashlyn and Sara!)

A photo taken at dusk shows masculine-looking young people in silhoutte against the sky, and a teardrop icon sits in the foreground surrounded by the words "let boys be emotional". To the left is the logo for WiseGuyz Centre for Sexuality

General Information

The SACE Public Education team empowers individuals and communities to take action against sexual violence. To accomplish this, SACE delivers presentations, workshops and seminars, distributes brochures, and attends community events. SACE also provides education sessions to adults involved in community groups and programs (e.g. athletic, leisure, art, religious, parent, and youth-serving groups), adults with developmental disabilities, and adults receiving support from community services (e.g. adults in addiction facilities, adults recovering from domestic violence, etc.).

Adult Presentation Bookings graphic with the statement "Let's move forward together" features illustrations highlighting key stats about the issue: sexual violence affects 2 in 3 women in their lifetime, 1 in 4 boys by the age of 18, and 3 in 4 LGBQ+/queer people.

In this section, tell us a bit about the sessions you'd like. It's okay if you're not sure; put in your best answers and we can help you from there. Please note, our sessions are most effective with regular class sizes (about 25-35 participants) but can be adapted to work with larger or smaller groups. Our minimum participant requirement is 8 participants.

SACE operates daily from Monday - Thursday, with some exceptions being made for Friday - Sunday. For schools or organizations that are out of town, please note that we have a Winter Driving Policy wherein sessions scheduled between November and March may be cancelled due to inclement driving conditions. To avoid cancellations, it is recommended that out of town sessions are scheduled outside of November - March. Please indicate your preferred date(s) and/or day(s) of the week for your presentation(s). While we cannot guarantee these dates will be available, we will do our best to accommodate your request.
